The Venture Scouts from Troop 125 will be taking their annual Winter Ski Weekend February 20-22. This year we will be skiing and boarding at June Mountain. This beautiful location is generally less crowded than Mammoth Mountain, and is located just 30 minutes further north. From the slopes, you can view the beautiful June Lake Loop and Mono Lake. We will be staying at the Fern Creek Lodge, just ½ mile from the ski lifts. We have made arrangements for cabins that can accommodate up to 21 people.

We will meet at Glenoaks Park at 4:00 PM on Friday the 20^th, and return around 9:00 PM on the 22^nd. Scouts are encouraged to bring school books, as study time will be at a premium this weekend!

The cost for the weekend is $140 per Scout. Included will be:

2 days of lift tickets (Saturday and Sunday)

2 nights of lodging (Friday and Saturday)

2 breakfasts (Saturday and Sunday)

1 dinner (Saturday)

Transportation

The Scouts will need to bring cash for dinner on the way up on Friday, lunches on Saturday and Sunday at the ski lodge, and dinner on the way home. $30 to $35 should be more than enough to cover. Skis or boards should be rented here in town to minimize cost. If desired, 2 hour group lessons can be taken for an additional charge of $47, and a 4 hour group lesson can be purchased for $80.

In order to secure accommodations, we will need a commitment at the troop meeting on Wednesday, January 7 and a non-refundable* deposit of $50 to hold your space. Click here for the flyer and permission slip. If you plan to snow board, bring this form also.
