Beach Campout

McGrath State Beach, Oxnard CA

June 20-22, 2003
Troop 125's June 2003 campout will be at McGrath State Beach in Ventura County. We will meet at Glenoaks Park at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, June 20, and will return mid-afternoon on Sunday, June 22. Our primary objectives will be to have fun at the beach. There will also be opportunities to work on Scouting skills and rank advancement. Scouts who have not yet advanced to First Class must bring their Scout Handbook.

Scout uniform shirts or our Troop activity T-shirts must be worn to and from camp. Scouts need to bring a sack lunch for Friday’s lunch. The following items are recommended:

  • Sun screen – bring it and use it!
  • Swimming suit Sun glasses and hat
  • Footwear for the beach
  • Beach towel
  • Body boards
  • Fins, wet suit, mask and snorkel
  • Camera

The fee for this three-day campout is $25 which covers the cost of food and camp fees. Since camping space is limited to 32, reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Troop meeting attendance rules will also apply.
